Aberdeen (Scottish Gaelic: Obar Dheathain) is a city in northeast Scotland. It is Scotland's third most populous city, and one of Scotland's 32 local government council areas.

Aberdeen's architecture is known for its principal use during the Victorian era of granite, which has led to its local nickname of the Granite City. Places of interest include Aberdeen Town House, His Majesty's Theatre, the Tollbooth Museum and Union Street.
